This is going to be a great event, held in conjunction with the "Show & Shine" car show. There will be plenty of room for your team and RV along side of your cookin space if needed. This event is sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbeque Society. The four KCBS meats will be judged beginning at 12:00 on Saturday.(see below) Anything Butt will be judged at 11:30 am and a dessert category at 2:00 pm. Cash and trophies will be awarded at the event. If you have items to sell, like BBQ Sauce, T-Shirts, hats, etc, must have approval from the event promoter.
This year, in addition to the KCBS Sanctioned competition, Sunday will feature Two Trees Products "Best of the West BBQ Challenge", consisting of tri-tip and chicken (meat will be provided), winner take all! There is a $25.00 entry fee to participate in the fun. However, Go For The Gold BBQ will supply competiting teams with the tri-tip and chicken. The "Best of the West BBQ Challenge" will give you an opportunity to be creative. Use your own plate and any garnish! If you would like to compete on Sunday, please mark the appropriate box on the event entry form.
